穩定性：穩定性是指物體對平衡改變時(shí)的阻力。一個(gè)低的，寬的物體通常比一個(gè)高的，窄的物體更加穩定。改變站姿寬度會(huì )影響穩定性，寬的站姿更穩定，窄的姿態(tài)不太穩定。但如果站姿過(guò)寬，滑雪者就會(huì )很難移動(dòng)，而更窄的站姿在壓板頭或板尾時(shí)可以提供更大的支撐面。增加穩定性的三個(gè)要素：1.質(zhì)量：質(zhì)量越大，物體就越穩定。在單板滑雪里，體重大的滑手在起伏的雪面上更有優(yōu)勢，因為需要更大的力來(lái)打破他們的平衡。2.質(zhì)心位置：質(zhì)心越低，物體就越穩定。因此當過(guò)彎，起跳落地或者呲桿時(shí)，屈膝蹲下來(lái)會(huì )變得更穩定。3.支撐面：支撐面越大，物體就越穩定。
