據說(shuō)空中花園采用立體造園手法，將花園放在四層平臺之上，由瀝青及磚塊建成，平臺由25米高的柱子支撐，并且有灌溉系統，奴隸不停地推動(dòng)連系著(zhù)齒輪的把手。園中種植各種花草樹(shù)木，遠看猶如花園懸在半空中，由此得名空中花園。

3、阿爾忒彌斯神廟

阿爾忒彌斯神廟是希臘神話(huà)阿爾忒彌斯女神的神廟（《圣經(jīng)》翻作亞底米，她是主司狩獵與大自然、生育與新生兒的女神），位列古代世界七大奇跡之一，長(cháng)425尺，寬230尺，有126根高60尺大理石柱。據稱(chēng)建筑時(shí)間前后長(cháng)達120年（相比之下，大希律王建耶路撒冷圣殿也只用了46年）。

公元前356年7月21日，神廟被黑若斯達特斯焚毀。該神廟至今只剩下一根柱子。這座神殿遺址位于今天土耳其的愛(ài)奧尼亞海濱，《圣經(jīng)》里把這個(gè)地方稱(chēng)為以弗所（Ephesus），而現在它被稱(chēng)為或者翻譯為艾菲索斯。

4、奧林匹亞宙斯神像

宙斯（Zeus）是希臘神話(huà)眾神之神，是奧林匹亞（Olympia）的主神，為表崇拜而興建的宙斯神像是當世最大的室內雕像，宙斯神像所在的宙斯神殿則是奧林匹克運動(dòng)會(huì )的發(fā)源地。拜占庭的菲羅撰寫(xiě)記述世界七大奇跡說(shuō)：“我們以其他六大奇跡為榮，而敬畏宙斯神像?！?/p>
