法院和法庭的區別如下:
1、含義不同:
法院(court),是世界各國普遍設立的國家機關(guān)。主要通過(guò)審判活動(dòng)懲治犯罪分子,解決社會(huì )矛盾和糾紛,維護公平正義。
法庭(courtroom)是法院(court)的事務(wù)類(lèi)組織單元,是法院的子屬級單元:分為部門(mén)法庭(如民事庭刑事庭)、某事的臨時(shí)法庭、基層法庭(縣級法院的鄉鎮級基層單位)。
2、性質(zhì)不同:
人民法院是中華人民共和國的國家審判機關(guān),中華人民共和國設立最高人民法院、地方各級人民法院和軍事法院等專(zhuān)門(mén)人民法院。其審理案件,除法律規定的特別情況外,一律公開(kāi)進(jìn)行。被告人有權獲得辯護。
