提問(wèn)者放了一張馬爾克斯《百年孤獨》的書(shū)影，想必已經(jīng)知道，一般提到一部**最具影響的開(kāi)頭，就是《百年孤獨》的提筆一句。我回答過(guò)一個(gè)問(wèn)題，是關(guān)于有哪些精彩的**結尾，我推薦了一本書(shū)《結尾的意義》。那么關(guān)于**開(kāi)頭，其實(shí)也有不少研究著(zhù)作。推薦一本書(shū)《故事開(kāi)始了》。但這里我打算以具體的例子來(lái)說(shuō)明。

馬爾克斯自己曾說(shuō)過(guò)，卡夫卡的**的敘述語(yǔ)調對自己的影響。比如卡夫卡最著(zhù)名的《變形記》的開(kāi)頭：“一天早晨，格里高爾?薩姆沙從不安的睡夢(mèng)中醒來(lái)，發(fā)現自己躺在床上變成了一只巨大的甲蟲(chóng)?！边@種不動(dòng)神色地講述一件有些恐怖的事情的敘述語(yǔ)調，讓馬爾克斯可以在拉丁美洲的神話(huà)傳說(shuō)中汲取資源，將神話(huà)恐怖靈異怪異的事件以一種冷靜的語(yǔ)調進(jìn)行講述，進(jìn)行冷處理。所以才會(huì )有《百年孤獨》的開(kāi)頭：“多年以后，當面對行刑隊的時(shí)候。奧雷良諾·布恩迪亞上校一定會(huì )想起父親帶他去看冰塊的那個(gè)遙遠的下午?！?。

不需要繼續往下讀，僅憑對這些具有魔力的句子的一種直覺(jué)，我已經(jīng)知道在讀的是一部多么偉大的經(jīng)典小說(shuō)。當然，這已經(jīng)不是我第一次讀到魯爾福的作品，但是之前只是通過(guò)別人的評介，一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)地積累了對這篇小說(shuō)久違的好感和景仰。是不是偉大的作品都需要一個(gè)如此簡(jiǎn)潔的句子開(kāi)頭？當然不一定，但偉大的作品總有一些深具蠱惑力的特質(zhì)掩蓋在那些平淡無(wú)奇的字句后面，等待著(zhù)用心的讀者耐心地去發(fā)現。這些特質(zhì)可以是開(kāi)頭出現，也可以在結尾中感知，甚至彌漫在整部作品的始末。

很多偉大的小說(shuō)開(kāi)始都是很不起眼，這不是故意留有遺憾。但是好小說(shuō)總有能打動(dòng)你的東西，比如一個(gè)句子，一個(gè)行為，一個(gè)描述，甚至整體營(yíng)造的氛圍。偉大有多面，故事開(kāi)始的時(shí)候，也許你沒(méi)有察覺(jué)到，但是總有一個(gè)部分是屬于你自己的，令你怦然心動(dòng)。一個(gè)故事有了好的開(kāi)頭，仿佛在引誘你，讓你進(jìn)入它的情境，感同身受，就如同愛(ài)麗絲進(jìn)入了漫游仙境一樣。如果你無(wú)法進(jìn)入故事，任何偉大的曼妙的句子也無(wú)法吸引你。換句話(huà)說(shuō)，也許你覺(jué)得一個(gè)故事的開(kāi)篇很平常無(wú)奇，但是一旦你喜歡上了那個(gè)故事，你就會(huì )重新意識到，那個(gè)開(kāi)篇的段落在閃光，仿佛那些平常無(wú)奇的句子突然具有了極大的魔力。小說(shuō)的開(kāi)篇與小說(shuō)本身本來(lái)就是一體的。

小說(shuō)家阿摩司·奧茲有個(gè)形象的比方說(shuō)，開(kāi)始講一個(gè)故事，就像在餐館和一個(gè)素昧平生的人調情。幾乎每個(gè)故事的開(kāi)頭都是一根骨頭，你用這根骨頭逗引女人的狗，而那條狗又使你接近那個(gè)女人。我們只有被引誘的時(shí)候才會(huì )對那本書(shū)好奇，閱讀開(kāi)始時(shí)就仿佛跟書(shū)本調情，半推半就之間，也許成就了好事。這才是人類(lèi)心理最奇怪的地方，多少年過(guò)去了，你已蒼老，以回憶度日，想起起多年前的那次好事，最先想到的往往是開(kāi)始調情的時(shí)刻。這就是《百年孤獨》開(kāi)篇的那個(gè)句子為何具有如此巨大的魔力之故，因為“許多年之后”我們僅存的只有回憶。而回憶中，“那個(gè)遙遠的下午”，我們開(kāi)始自己的閱讀時(shí)，那篇小說(shuō)的開(kāi)頭的句子，經(jīng)過(guò)了時(shí)光的淬煉，仿佛具有了神話(huà)般的靈韻，自發(fā)的生命，緩慢生長(cháng)的力量，歷久彌新。
