為什么要背英語(yǔ)單詞?

我從來(lái)不背英語(yǔ)單詞!——因為我是學(xué)法語(yǔ)的。

開(kāi)個(gè)玩笑。

其實(shí)背單詞學(xué)英語(yǔ)是最不可取的,因為語(yǔ)言是鮮活的,而單詞又是在具體語(yǔ)境中才有具體含義的,所以學(xué)英語(yǔ)(當然也包括學(xué)習其他外語(yǔ))的最佳單詞記憶法,不是拿本詞匯手冊死記硬背,而是結合具體文章去記憶——換言之,如果你要背,請在完全理解的基礎上背課文,而不是背單詞。

結合文章記憶單詞的好處多多:第一,文章熟讀了,相關(guān)單詞也就熟稔于胸了;第二,有助于培養語(yǔ)感;第三,能活學(xué)活用——也就是自己提筆寫(xiě)文章能正確運用相關(guān)單詞。

拿詞匯手冊背單詞適用于考前的臨陣磨槍?zhuān)梢越鉀Q閱讀問(wèn)題,但無(wú)法解決寫(xiě)作問(wèn)題。因為脫離情景背單詞,只能解決輸入問(wèn)題(見(jiàn)到這個(gè)單詞知道它的意思),但卻無(wú)法解決輸出問(wèn)題(自己用英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)文章,要么想不起來(lái)用這個(gè)單詞,要么用錯)。
