1996年6月26日被費城76人隊選中，成為NBA狀元秀，綽號“答案（The Answer）”。艾弗森14年職業(yè)生涯先后效力過(guò)費城76人隊、掘金、灰熊和活塞， 場(chǎng)均出戰41.1分鐘，獲得26.7分、6.2次助攻和2.2次搶斷。在整個(gè)職業(yè)生涯中，艾弗森四次榮膺得分王，11次入選全明星，三次榮膺搶斷王。2000-2001賽季，艾弗森打出了生涯最好表現，奪得常規賽MVP獎杯，并幫助76隊打入NBA總決賽。2013年10月30日，阿倫·艾弗森在費城正式宣布退役。
