士官長(cháng)利用秋風(fēng)之墩號的核反應堆炸毀環(huán)帶后駕駛醍醐號運輸機逃離。結尾處343也逃離了環(huán)帶。（游戲中未交待的是三步曲中最幽默的不死小強、士官長(cháng)的好基友Johnson中士也逃離了環(huán)帶）

Halo 2：

士官長(cháng)回到地球與Johnson中士一同接受表彰。同時(shí)星盟最高領(lǐng)袖之一“悲愴先知”獨自帶領(lǐng)艦隊追尋先行者遺跡時(shí)無(wú)意中闖入地球，于是星盟與人類(lèi)的戰斗在地球上展開(kāi)。

另一邊星盟的首都博愛(ài)之城中，由于追擊秋風(fēng)之墩號而致使04環(huán)帶被毀的精英族艦長(cháng)（Arbiter）被星盟議會(huì )判定有罪，星盟最高領(lǐng)袖“真相先知”派他去完成清除
