十年前，位于京畿道的花谷里村曾接連不斷發(fā)生殘忍的**連環(huán)案。村民們漸漸離開(kāi)此地，村莊變成了荒涼的廢墟，甚至連警察也放棄了此案的追查。兩年后，此地再未發(fā)生此類(lèi)案件，往昔的慘景也漸漸被遺忘，村民們開(kāi)始回歸，警察也認為這里是安全之地。

1998年韓國曾推出一部以世紀末為背景的超自然魔幻動(dòng)作**《退魔錄》，十年后，《神賦予的任務(wù)》充滿(mǎn)紀念意義地誕生了。與《退魔錄》不同，《神賦予的任務(wù)》中的魔幻故事發(fā)生在當代韓國社會(huì )。片中反面角色殺人、強女千、綁架、誘拐無(wú)惡不作，化名“湯”的惡靈。為了拯救岌岌可危的社會(huì )秩序，神勇的獵鬼人崔江與“湯”展開(kāi)了激烈的搏斗。

1984年出生的劉多仁在《神賦予的任務(wù)》中出演命運多舛的巫女。這位戴著(zhù)面紗的神秘女子擁有這世上唯一可以捕捉惡靈的攝像機。為了擺脫詛咒，這位名叫“申”的女記者和惡靈“湯”展開(kāi)了對決。

·本片在2008年10月釜山**節上僅以風(fēng)格獨特的海報就吸引海外買(mǎi)家在內的多方目光，未映先熱。

·影片在制作方面可謂絞盡了腦汁。片中惡靈“湯”附體于人類(lèi)和獵鬼人搏斗的CG場(chǎng)面眾多，導致后期制作十分復雜，導演樸熙俊索性親力親為操刀剪輯。影片劇情部分使用常規鏡頭拍攝，遇到動(dòng)作場(chǎng)面則大量使用快速剪接。大量的編輯工作使樸熙俊不得不忍痛割?lèi)?ài)了部分音樂(lè )的創(chuàng )作。

·拍攝過(guò)程中演員的敬業(yè)精神也得到了劇組成員的一致贊賞。拍攝動(dòng)作片時(shí)演員或劇組成員負傷掛彩是再正常不過(guò)的事情?！渡褓x予的任務(wù)》也發(fā)生了多起“傷事”，特別是拒用替身，全程親力親為的在熙在拍攝過(guò)程中更是險象環(huán)生，令動(dòng)作指導和劇組人員著(zhù)實(shí)捏了一把汗。

·在一場(chǎng)追擊惡靈“湯”的戲中，小巷的地面因為積雪異常濕滑，NG四五次后導演要求演員盡力做好最后一次，就在這次拍攝中，在熙傷到了自己的腳，為了保證拍攝進(jìn)程，他隱瞞了自己的傷勢，直到最后實(shí)在支持不住，導演親自為他脫去鞋子才發(fā)現傷勢嚴重。在場(chǎng)工作人員無(wú)不為其職業(yè)精神所感動(dòng)。

·劇組的美術(shù)服裝部在接到劇本后傷透了腦筋，因為誰(shuí)也不知道所謂的“捉鬼攝像機”該是個(gè)什么模樣。服裝組也為主人公崔江和惡靈“湯”的另類(lèi)服飾考量了許久。多次研討會(huì )后，大家決定為崔江設計一個(gè)獨特的發(fā)型，和一件皮草長(cháng)披風(fēng)。至于惡靈“湯”則頂著(zhù)一頭紅發(fā)，身穿類(lèi)似修道士的服裝。

·服裝問(wèn)題解決后輪到了最撓頭的道具。大家對片中崔江使用的武器和可以看到魔怪的“捉鬼攝像機”都顯得沒(méi)有任何頭緒。和樸熙俊導演合作過(guò)處女作《天使夢(mèng)》的美術(shù)指導最后以1940年德國制造的一架手持攝像機為靈感，設計了現在片中使用的“捉鬼攝像機”。至于崔江使用的武器則是他親自設計并用鐵打造出的利劍。所有道具最大程度借鑒了過(guò)去的物品，充滿(mǎn)了濃濃的懷舊感。
