英語(yǔ)“天地”怎么翻譯?
這個(gè)問(wèn)題非常有意思,我覺(jué)得“天地”可以譯為“The heavens and the earth”。
“天地”這個(gè)詞,應該說(shuō)的是我們所處的最大范圍的空間,在nkjv版的《圣經(jīng)》里,第一句話(huà)就是“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”一般來(lái)說(shuō),準確的翻譯就是“起初,神創(chuàng )造天地?!?/p>
只要用“The heavens and the earth”,一般說(shuō)英語(yǔ)的人就會(huì )準確地明白這是“天地”的意思。至于nkjv的權威性以及為什么heaven用復數,這里就不討論了。
當然,如果這里的“天地”指的是“天地君親師”的那個(gè)“天地”,那就應當譯為“The god(or gods)who created the heavens and the earth”。
