名稱(chēng)由來(lái)

耶路撒冷名稱(chēng)的準確來(lái)源尚無(wú)法確定。在希伯來(lái)語(yǔ)中，Yelushalaim這個(gè)名字可以理解為yelusha（遺產(chǎn)）和shalom（和平）的合成詞。另一個(gè)比較普遍的解釋是它將《圣經(jīng)》里兩個(gè)城市的名字結合在一起：耶布斯（Jebus）和撒冷（Salem，意“和平”）。

耶路撒冷地位：

1950年，以色列宣布耶路撒冷為首都，此后，以色列政府的所有部門(mén) — 立法機關(guān)、司法機關(guān)和行政機關(guān)，包括總統府和總理府 — 均設在耶路撒冷市內。

當時(shí)耶路撒冷分為2部分，分別由以色列和約旦管理，只有西耶路撒冷作為以色列的首都。1967年六日戰爭后，以色列立即吞并了東耶路撒冷，東耶路撒冷事實(shí)上是以色列通過(guò)武裝手段取得。

1980年7月30日，以色列國會(huì )通過(guò)法案（《基本法：以色列首都耶路撒冷》），宣布耶路撒冷（包括西耶路撒冷和東耶路撒冷）是以色列“永恒的與不可分割的首都”

聯(lián)合國安理會(huì )478號決議（14票贊成，0票反對，美國1票棄權）宣布這項法律無(wú)效，并要求其成員國必須從該市撤出外交代表作為懲罰措施。

在478號決議之前，大部分大使館已經(jīng)設在特拉維夫。在耶路撒冷設立大使館的少數國家中，大部分按照決議，將大使館遷往特拉維夫。

為拉攏親以色列的美國選民，特朗普去年競選總統期間承諾，上臺后將把美國駐以色列使館從特拉維夫遷至耶路撒冷。

2017年12月6日，美國總統特朗普宣布承認耶路撒冷為以色列首都，并將啟動(dòng)美駐以使館從特拉維夫遷往耶路撒冷的進(jìn)程。 

2017年12月13日，伊斯蘭合作組織在土耳其伊斯坦布爾舉行特別首腦會(huì )議后發(fā)表公報，宣布承認東耶路撒冷為巴勒斯坦國首都。
