自然科學(xué)和社會(huì )科學(xué)之間也可以相互結合發(fā)展，形成新的交叉邊緣學(xué)科，如進(jìn)化金融學(xué)就是近年來(lái)興起的介于生物學(xué)和金融學(xué)的一門(mén)邊緣科學(xué)，進(jìn)化證券學(xué)則是介于生物學(xué)和證券學(xué)之間的邊緣學(xué)科。此外，技術(shù)科學(xué)和社會(huì )科學(xué)之間也可以相互結合發(fā)展，形成新的交叉邊緣學(xué)科，如網(wǎng)絡(luò )語(yǔ)言學(xué)就是網(wǎng)絡(luò )技術(shù)和語(yǔ)言科學(xué)有機融合而成的新興交叉學(xué)科，該學(xué)科由中國知名學(xué)者周海中教授首先提出，并受到學(xué)界關(guān)注和肯定。
