水貨程序員不請自來(lái)，目前就職多倫多IBM。

以下答案基于答主個(gè)人經(jīng)歷，包含主觀(guān)判斷，我來(lái)安利一下IBM。

首先說(shuō)工作環(huán)境。

IBM在多倫多有幾個(gè)office，包括downtown也有。我在Markham的lab，環(huán)境優(yōu)美。

樓層不高，一共4層，周?chē)G樹(shù)成蔭，還有一條小河 || 小溪穿過(guò)。

公司在highway7 and Warden Ave，交通便利，周?chē)缆范萝?chē)的情況比較少，當然如果像答主一樣，每天開(kāi)401來(lái)上班，路上花的時(shí)間也不少。

再說(shuō)說(shuō)硬件設備，我入職的時(shí)候是只有Thinkpad W系列的筆記本可選，之后換成MacBook pro了，現在新入職的時(shí)候可以自由選擇Thinkpad或者M(jìn)acBook了。顯示器是沒(méi)有的，這點(diǎn)確實(shí)很不方便，沒(méi)有多屏工作起來(lái)效率受影響。

樓里設施很豐富，有健身房，還有布置的不同裝修風(fēng)格的休息的地方，改天可以上照片。多數人是擁有自己的cube，傳統美國公司風(fēng)格，隔斷高度超過(guò)身高。

說(shuō)完硬件和環(huán)境，再說(shuō)說(shuō)具體一點(diǎn)的日常工作吧。

先**播一點(diǎn)感想吧，我覺(jué)得找工作的時(shí)候，對于小公司就是要看公司情況怎么樣，對于大公司就要看team了。因為大公司組織龐大，部門(mén)眾多，每天打交道的都是周?chē)耐潞鸵恍┫嚓P(guān)team的人。自己team的manager的管理風(fēng)格，team負責的產(chǎn)品在自己部門(mén)和公司的地位，基本決定了你日常工作是否舒心，順心；也直接決定了職業(yè)發(fā)展。尤其是大公司里面的邊緣部門(mén)，地位比較尷尬，公司業(yè)績(jì)不好的時(shí)候，朝不保夕，人心慌慌。在小公司，沒(méi)有那么多繁復的制度，個(gè)人的影響力會(huì )相對大一些，幾個(gè)人一商量覺(jué)得主意不錯，可能就開(kāi)工試錯迭代了。在大公司，一個(gè)擁有幾十萬(wàn)員工的超級復雜系統，已經(jīng)不是任何一個(gè)個(gè)人可以控制的了，也只能依靠制度來(lái)進(jìn)行管理，所以有時(shí)會(huì )出現一層一層approve的情況。

從我們部門(mén)來(lái)說(shuō)，產(chǎn)品雖然不是業(yè)界老大，但是處于上升階段。平時(shí)工作氛圍比較輕松，當然可能個(gè)別時(shí)候比較忙，但是工作強度和國內來(lái)說(shuō)是完全沒(méi)法比的，加班更是沒(méi)有的。每天工作時(shí)間靈活，有人早來(lái)早走，也有人晚來(lái)晚走。從開(kāi)發(fā)流程來(lái)說(shuō)，大體是采用scrum的agile方式，但是并不是教科書(shū)式的scrum實(shí)踐。

因為IBM歷史悠久，許多工具都有自己研發(fā)的產(chǎn)品，比如IBM有自己的java，自己的CVS工具，甚至連聊天工具都有自己的sametime。不過(guò)現在處在過(guò)渡階段，也開(kāi)始擁抱“新”東西了，比如用slack，用Github，盡管這些在許多地方早已廣泛使用多年，但是對于有著(zhù)多年成熟開(kāi)發(fā)模式的公司來(lái)說(shuō)，改變只能是一點(diǎn)一點(diǎn)的推行。

最后再說(shuō)說(shuō)薪資待遇吧。 從答主自己感覺(jué)還有g(shù)lassdoor上的信息來(lái)看，IBM的工資水平在大多倫多地區算是中等水平吧。沒(méi)有亞馬遜高，和滑鐵盧的Google更比不了?？紤]到工作強度的因素，其實(shí)差距倒是沒(méi)有那么大，據說(shuō)亞馬遜的on call導致員工幸福度很低？不知道是不是這樣。

和在downtown的銀行相比，IBM的工程師文化更強。在銀行工作時(shí)，總感覺(jué)程序員就是被當作工具，尤其是front office的交易員脾氣都很大， 有的BA也并不友善。

其他待遇方面，每年15天假期，為了和美國的假期match，額外還有兩天floater day。平時(shí)公司內部也常有各種活動(dòng)。另外DCPP的話(huà)，公司最多match 4%

最后再安利一下，IBM是一家歷史悠久的科技公司，同時(shí)代創(chuàng )立的公司多數都已經(jīng)消失在歷史中了。而IBM曾經(jīng)站在浪潮之巔，給業(yè)界做出許多貢獻，時(shí)代變遷之后，努力調整適應數次挺過(guò)寒冬，幾經(jīng)沉浮依然屹立不倒，這本身就值得尊敬了。

IBM面向普通消費者的業(yè)務(wù)，現在已經(jīng)很少了，所以許多人都對它不太了解?，F在火熱的云計算，大數據，人工智能等等，IBM都做了大量投入并且也取得了許多成果，有興趣的可以了解一下。
