RO（Reverses Osmosis）即反滲透的水，亦即市售純凈水。

所謂的純凈水就是將天然水經(jīng)過(guò)多道工序處理、提純和凈化的水。經(jīng)過(guò)多道工序后的純凈水除去了對人體有害的物質(zhì)、部分礦物質(zhì)元素，同時(shí)除去了細菌，因此可以直接飲用。

純凈水，簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)凈水或純水，是純潔、干凈，不含有雜質(zhì)或細菌的水（H2O），如有機污染物、無(wú)機鹽、任何添加劑和各類(lèi)雜質(zhì)，是以符合生活飲用水衛生標準的水為原水。市場(chǎng)上出售的太空水，蒸餾水均為純凈水。

原理

顧名思義，逆滲透濾膜技術(shù)就是利用滲透的方法來(lái)從海水中提取出純凈的飲用水。

滲透的英文“Osmosis”一詞來(lái)源于希臘文“Osmos”，意思是一種推動(dòng)力。1748年，萊諾對滲透現象進(jìn)行了研究，并首次作了實(shí)驗紀錄，發(fā)現用膀胱把水和酒精隔開(kāi)后，水可以通過(guò)膀胱進(jìn)入酒精，但酒精不能進(jìn)入水。

根據科學(xué)的定義，滲透是某種溶劑通過(guò)半透膜（一種溶劑分子能通過(guò)，而溶質(zhì)分子不能通過(guò)的薄膜）從低濃度到高濃度轉移的現象。通過(guò)那種被稱(chēng)作“半透膜”的薄膜，我們可以對滲透現象看得更清楚。
