英國人與阿薩姆的前世今生是什么？

這事可以從紅茶的淵源講起。

1. 紅茶的淵源

明朝時(shí)期，福建武夷山茶區的茶農，發(fā)明了紅茶的制茶工藝，簡(jiǎn)單來(lái)說(shuō)就是發(fā)酵。這個(gè)茶就是正山小種。17世紀大航海時(shí)代過(guò)后英國開(kāi)始跟世界各地通商，中國開(kāi)始向英國輸出茶葉，茶葉也從17世紀開(kāi)始傳入英國。但英國的下午茶文化又要從葡萄牙說(shuō)起。當時(shí)的茶葉是十分珍貴的產(chǎn)品，只有貴族才能享用，也是身份的象征。

1662年，葡公主凱瑟琳嫁給英王查理二世時(shí)，她的嫁妝里就帶著(zhù)有221磅紅茶茶葉（正山小種）和一些精美的中國茶具。紅茶開(kāi)始真正傳入英國，但只是在宮廷層面的人有資格享用。由于正山小種茶葉呈黑色，所以被英國人稱(chēng)為“Black Tea”，這個(gè)英文稱(chēng)呼一直沿用至今。

2. 英式紅茶和紅茶的區別

所謂的英式紅茶主要指的是Blended Black Tea，也就是混合不同種類(lèi)產(chǎn)地紅茶搭配售賣(mài)的方式。畢竟英國當年不產(chǎn)茶葉，茶葉都是進(jìn)口的，好壞搭配才能利益最大化，不過(guò)也因此創(chuàng )造出了很多獨特的口味。對了，現在英國康沃爾郡（Cornwall）已經(jīng)開(kāi)始有茶葉種植園地了

以伯爵茶為例，伯爵茶往往以云南滇紅為基茶，搭配大吉嶺紅茶（19世紀英國通過(guò)通過(guò)東印度公司獲得）作為補充，再加入佛手柑、紅花、金盞花。其中滇紅、佛手柑就源于中國。
