氧化還原反應 (oxidation-reduction reaction, 也作redox reaction)是在反應前后元素的化合價(jià)具有相應的升降變化的化學(xué)反應。在反應過(guò)程中有元素化合價(jià)變化的化學(xué)反應叫做氧化還原反應。這種反應可以理解成由兩個(gè)半反應構成，即氧化反應和還原反應。此類(lèi)反應都遵守電荷守恒。在氧化還原反應里，氧化與還原必然以等量同時(shí)進(jìn)行。兩者可以比喻為陰陽(yáng)之間相互依靠、轉化、消長(cháng)且互相對立的關(guān)系。有機化學(xué)中也存在氧化還原反應。
