靠風(fēng)力傳送花粉的傳粉方式稱(chēng)風(fēng)媒（anemophily），借助這類(lèi)方式傳粉的花，稱(chēng)風(fēng)媒花（anemophilous flower）。大部分禾本科植物和木本植物中的櫟、楊、樺木等都是風(fēng)媒植物。裸子植物如松、杉、柏等基本上是風(fēng)媒植物。

3.鳥(niǎo)媒

借鳥(niǎo)類(lèi)傳粉的稱(chēng)鳥(niǎo)媒（ornithophily）。大約有2000種鳥(niǎo)可以為植物傳粉。在有的地方熱帶鳥(niǎo)類(lèi)作為傳粉者甚至比昆蟲(chóng)更重要。最大的是燕八哥、畫(huà)眉和烏鴉；最小的是蜂鳥(niǎo)。

4.蝙蝠傳粉

在熱帶地區，蝙蝠多以花為食。蝙蝠傳粉的花也很大，或雄蕊很多，猴面包每朵花就有1500～2000個(gè)雄蕊。這種花具有大量花蜜；輕木屬植物（Ochromapyramidale）每朵花可產(chǎn)1.5毫升的花蜜。

傳粉形式

植物成熟的花粉粒傳到同一朵花的柱頭上，并能正常地受精結實(shí)的過(guò)程稱(chēng)自花傳粉。生產(chǎn)上常把同株異花間和同品種異株間的傳粉也認為是自花傳粉。能進(jìn)行自花傳粉的植物稱(chēng)自花傳粉植物，如水稻、小麥、棉花和桃等，豌豆和花生在花尚未開(kāi)放時(shí)，花蕾中的成熟花粉粒就直接在花粉囊中萌發(fā)形成花粉管，把精子送入胚囊中受精，這種傳粉方式是典型的自花傳粉，稱(chēng)閉花受精。自花傳粉受精機率大，但不利于維持后代的生活力。

異花傳粉

如果一株植物的花傳送到另一株植物的花的胚珠或柱頭上，稱(chēng)為異花傳粉。這是自然界更為普遍的現象。油菜、向日葵、蘋(píng)果樹(shù)等是異花傳粉的植物。植物界有種種避免自花傳粉和保證異花傳粉的適應：

①雌雄異熟，一般情況下即使是兩性花，同一朵花的雌雄蕊也不會(huì )一起成熟，例如馬兜鈴是雌蕊先于雄蕊成熟，雌蕊接受的花粉是另一朵花的花粉；

②雌雄異株；

③雌雄同株，但開(kāi)單性花，只能進(jìn)行異花傳粉；

④有的植物雌蕊柱頭對自身花粉有拒絕、殺害作用，或者花粉對自花柱頭有毒，例如木犀草和蘭科植物。這保證了種族持續性的高生活力和適應性。果傳粉時(shí)期沒(méi)有風(fēng)或遇到陰雨連綿的天氣，傳粉的能力就大大降低，從而降低受精的機會(huì )，影響到果實(shí)和種子的產(chǎn)量．玉米果穗出現“禿頂”，主要是由于傳粉不足引起的．為了彌補自然下?tīng)顟B(tài)傳粉不足，如果輔以人工輔助授粉，同樣能提高結實(shí)率．向日葵屬于異花傳粉2的蟲(chóng)媒花，異花傳粉的植物容易受到外界環(huán)境因素的制約，如遇到連陰雨的天氣，會(huì )影響到昆蟲(chóng)前來(lái)傳粉的機會(huì )，不能傳粉，就完不成受精，所以葵花籽會(huì )出現空癟現象．
