可編程中斷控制器(Programmable Interrupt Controller)，也簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)為PIC，是微處器與外設之間的中斷處理的橋梁，由外設發(fā)出的中斷請求需要中斷控制器來(lái)進(jìn)行處理。

早期PC/XT/AT機里使用的可編程中斷控制器一般為Intel 8259系列產(chǎn)品,這種PIC只能夠支持8個(gè)優(yōu)先級,但是可以通過(guò)級聯(lián)來(lái)最多能夠支持64個(gè)優(yōu)先級。后來(lái)隨著(zhù)Intel于1997年公布Multiprocessor Specification,APIC(高級可編程控制器)的產(chǎn)生,可編程中斷控制器已經(jīng)漸漸為高級可編程控制器所取代.該種PIC應用于多處理器平臺當中.注:多核單處理器也是使用高級可編程控制器

apic：Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller高級程序中斷控制器acpi：表示高級配置和電源管理接口（Advanced Configuration and Power Management Interface）sci：　SCI（Serial Communication Interface)意為“串行通信接口”，是相對于并行通信的，是串行通信技術(shù)的一種總稱(chēng)，最早由Motolora公司提出的。irq：　為 Interrupt ReQuest的縮寫(xiě)，中文可譯為中斷請求。因為計算機中每個(gè)組成組件都會(huì )擁有一個(gè)獨立的IRQ，除了使用PCI總線(xiàn)的PCI卡之外，每一組件都會(huì )單獨占用一個(gè) IRQ，且不能重復使用?！　∮捎谠谟嬎銠C運行中，CPU是持續處于忙碌狀態(tài)，而當硬件接口設備開(kāi)始或結束收發(fā)信息，需要CPU處理信息運算時(shí)，便會(huì )透過(guò)IRQ對CPU送出中斷請求訊號，讓CPU儲存正在進(jìn)行的工作，然后暫停手邊的工作，先行處理周邊硬件提出的需求，這便是中斷請求的作用。主要看irq，中斷請求。
