在意象的擷取和提煉上，這首詩(shī)具有單純而豐富之美。鄉愁，本來(lái)是大家所普遍體驗卻難以捕捉的情緒，如果找不到與之對應的獨特的美的意象來(lái)表現，那將不是流于一般化的平庸，就是墮入抽象化的空泛?！多l愁》從廣遠的時(shí)空中提煉了四個(gè)意象：郵票、船票、墳墓、海峽。
