新幾內亞高地

新幾內亞高地（New Guinea Highlands），也被稱(chēng)為中央嶺或中央山脈，是新幾內亞島中部一系列山脈和山間河谷的總稱(chēng)。高地西起極樂(lè )鳥(niǎo)半島，東至巴布亞半島，自西向東綿延超過(guò)1600公里，在河谷中部有許多蓬勃發(fā)展的農業(yè)區。該高地所在的新幾內亞島在政治上分屬印度尼西亞（西部）和巴布亞新幾內亞（東部）兩國。
