低音管，英文：Bassoon ，（或稱(chēng)巴松管，在中國大陸又稱(chēng)大管），其意大利文Fagotti來(lái)源于樂(lè )器的形狀──柴棒，是木管樂(lè )器中雙簧樂(lè )器家族的成員，自19世紀，低音管衍變成現在的樣子。從那時(shí)候以來(lái)，它在管弦樂(lè )，協(xié)奏曲及室內樂(lè )作品中一直扮演著(zhù)重要的角色。低音管有著(zhù)獨特的音色，寬廣的音域，并可靈活演奏出多種音樂(lè )特色。音色具有比較明顯、渾厚的簧樂(lè )聲調特點(diǎn)。像雙簧管一樣，低音管有兩片簧片，并可借著(zhù)超吹（Overblow）技巧將音程提高八度或以上。巴松管的音色暗沉而莊嚴，宛如男中音的音色，特別在中音與高音部份更近似男中音的音色。低音結實(shí)有力，多于交響樂(lè )隊中重復低音弦樂(lè )器。巴松管長(cháng)約8英尺，因此樂(lè )器是折起來(lái)的。巴松管的按鍵系統使演奏者便于操作廣泛間隔的孔，控制音高。
