Big day out Well on Sunday I went to my first big day out and it was a whole lotta fun. First we got to the tram stop, which was packed with people, like us, going to Big Day Out. I have never seen so many band T-shirts at one place in my life. Anyways, Tim saved the day by setting a bread roll free into a pack of pigeons, and that was wonderful. Lovely work, Tim. Then we got on a very crowded tram and made our way for Princes Park. We got there and waited in the line for about 15 minutes, the whole time listening to very funny convos that others were having. We finally got let in and we were in. we wandered around for a bit, bought some crap, I got a funky China-man's hat, and then Tim and I lined up for the Mudvayne moshpit. Well, to say the least, we got in. it was the most insane experience of my life. Luckily I liked the band enough to be able to five the pack of hooligans threatening to crush me any second. Let me tell you, its nto good being short and skinny in a moshpit of a band like Mudvayne. Anyway, we survived and after a few songs we got out. This is where things got interesting. It was at about this point that we lost Tegan. Now we were searching for her through the next band, Wolfmother, the band after that, the Hilltop Hoods, and the next band, Kings of Leon. Mmm, not good. I ended up asking random people if I could borrow their phone to contact her because my phone was in her bag, but it was useless. In the end we just sat down and finally she appeared out of nowhere, hot and tired. But after that we recovered, and Tim went to see the Living End while we got Sushi. We then watched the majority of Franz Ferdinand, and then Tim and I went to see the Mars Volta while Tegan lined up for the White Stripes moshpit. The Mars Volta was good as a band but the sound was shit and I couldn't hear what was going on at all. Too loud and distorted and I think the fact that they had 8 dudes on stage didn't help. So we left that and went to see the White Stripes and that was pretty cool. We watched that, met up with Tegan again, without losing her, and went home. All in all a very fun day.。
