FCR是“承運貨物收據”，簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)Cargo Receipt，是貨代收到托運貨物時(shí)給托運人簽發(fā)的收據，此外還是承攬將貨物運到FCR上所栽明的目的地的單證，它不是物權憑證，除非信用證特別授權的話(huà)，銀行是不會(huì )接受這種單據的，提單是物權憑證，與沒(méi)有嚴格統一規定的Cargo Receipt不同，提單有嚴謹的含義cargo receipt應該是收貨人辦理的卸船單證之一 一般因為是客戶(hù)自己租船訂艙，而且希望能及早收到提單以便提貨，故而在L/C中要求CARGO RECEIPT交單，而全套正本提單由受益人直接寄交申請人or隨船直接到達申請人手中。
