答:這是根據新托福寫(xiě)作模版之一: In general, the professor discusses the problem of …that the reading viewes in a contrary (opposing, different) angle. 造的句子。 結果沒(méi)有造好,不知道想表達什么意思。

光看原句,這個(gè)viewed 與in an ...angle 一起構成過(guò)去分詞短語(yǔ)作后置定語(yǔ),修飾the problem of the reading passage= that is viewed in .... angle, 前面的名詞短語(yǔ)的中心詞是the problem,但分詞又緊跟一個(gè)名詞the reading passage, 容易產(chǎn)生歧議和誤解。從模版來(lái)看,應該是修飾the problem的,因為原來(lái)的定語(yǔ)從句中view的主語(yǔ)是the reading (passage), 閱讀材料。其實(shí)也就是材料的作者“看待”問(wèn)題的角度。 但原版中,這個(gè)in an opposing angel應該是修飾discusses的, 就是說(shuō),教授用另一個(gè)角度來(lái)討論這個(gè)閱讀材料中所看待的問(wèn)題。 that the reading views是限制性定語(yǔ)從句(后置),修飾前面的the problem of sth. 而某個(gè)學(xué)生將這個(gè)定語(yǔ)從句改成了被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài):that is viewed by the reading, 然后去掉了by the reading, 再然后只剩下一個(gè)單個(gè)的過(guò)去分詞了,這就不能作后置定語(yǔ)了。作后置定語(yǔ)的,應是一個(gè)分詞短語(yǔ):viewed in ... angle (by the reading), 這樣一來(lái),這個(gè)in ... angle成了原定語(yǔ)從句中的views,也就是現在這個(gè)過(guò)去分詞viewed的狀語(yǔ)了!有點(diǎn)不合語(yǔ)境:“一般地說(shuō),教授論述這個(gè)被(。。。)用另一個(gè)角度看待的讀物的問(wèn)題”。就不是“一般地說(shuō),教授用另一個(gè)角度來(lái)論述這個(gè)讀物的問(wèn)題”。
